Ivy is a native of Pompano Beach Florida .  Her primary interest in music evolved during her early childhood years both in church and school.  She was encouraged at the behest of her nurturing mother to play the piano and sing in the Children Choir at church to accommodate her father’s pastoral ministry. In addition to her vocal interest Ivy achieved notoriety as an athlete who competed and won several State championship awards in long distance running.  After graduating Blanche Ely High School in her native town, Ivy completed professional training in modeling at the John Robert Powers Professional Modeling School in the neighboring city of Fort Lauderdale , Florida . Her passion for aesthetics and the fine arts motivated her to succeed against the odds prompting her to join the Alexar Modeling  Agency  & Training School in Fort Lauderdale .

Ivy has performed contractually for Alfred Lewis Designs of New York  and clientele such as Burdines , Jordan Marsh, J.C. Penny and Lerners in Florida . She has successfully balanced her professional modeling and vocalist passion to the point of discovery. Her penchant for writing has evolved  and emerging in a fascinating plethora of new songs.

■ Ivy  has been recognized by internationally acclaimed artist such as the late and  renowned Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, Director, International  Church of God In Christ Mass Choir and  acclaimed artist Vickie Winans.  Ivy once opened a Valentine’s Day Extravaganza Concert for Vicki Winans.

■ In the summer of 1993, NFL Green Bay Packer, the late Reggie White, hosted a Gospel Crusade for the Metro Life Community Church Crystal Lake , FL. Ivy was selected by the event organizer to perform multiple solos during the event.

■ In 1993, former Rhythm & Blues vocalist Lonnie Torbett of Earth, Wind & Fire, and now a believer, selected Ivy to perform solo  with the Brethren Help Baptist Ministries Mass Choir.
