Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Russell followed the path of many youths – he joined
the U.S. Air Force. Upon completing his military
service in 1972, he moved
to Washington, DC to become a police officer. While serving as a police officer, Russell began his multi-media empire
with “Russell’s News”, a local newsletter that he used as the premier marketing tool to not only promote
his fashion boutique but other businesses, too. Russell’s News grew into the Washington Business Guide
Magazine. Today it has evolved into BE THERE Magazine – Washington’s premiere online magazine.
For the past 30 years, Russell has worked incessantly to establish himself as the man
about town! Well known throughout the community and bestowed with the title, “Mr. Media”, Russell is a recognized
publisher and TV/Radio Personality. His expertise is sought by many marketing and advertising agencies. If it
is business, networking or history in the making, Russell is there; thus the title “BE THERE Magazine”.
Russell is an avid supporter of small business. Unsung heroes in business –
if it were not for Russell – many would probably have been overlooked and bypassed by the media. Over the years,
both accomplished and aspiring entrepreneurs have used Russell’s business model as the template for success.
In addition to being the hardest working man in marketing, this urban advertising expert
is also a motivational speaker, author, and philanthropist. Russell believes that everyone is here for a reason, not
for one’s self but for a purpose that involves helping others. “We must pay it forward by blessing somebody’s
life in a positive way every day!”, says Russell Price.
Russell has launched
several humanitarian initiatives including his support for the American Diabetes Association, Sickle Cell Anemia and his beloved
A ”C” Is Not Me Mentoring Program, which empowers youth to achieve the best grades in school. BE THERE Magazine
is an avid supporter of breast cancer survivors’ events. Russell credits all his success to God, believing that
all things are possible to those who believe.
