CONNECT WITH GOD
Why Should I Connect With God?
Life.
We each have one. It sometimes thrills us and sometimes challenges us.
Life
is a gift. It wasn't your idea. You didn't design it. You didn't choose to be born. You didn't choose
your parents or your birthday or your DNA. It was all created and given to you by Someone much greater than yourself. But
you get the adventure of living it. Life is short. You are a temporary resident
here. No matter how hard you work, no matter how many successes you experience in your brief time on this planet, the clock
is ticking and it will all come to an end sooner than you wish. Life is meaningful. There
really is a purpose to it all – and you are not it. You were given this life, placed on this brief journey to fulfill
the purposes of the One who put you here. We believe that God cares about every aspect of your life's journey, be
it spiritual, emotional, physical, marital, or financial. You can spend your life denying this is so and trying to make it
work some other way – or you can believe what has been revealed in the ancient writings of Holy Scripture: It's
all about living for Jesus Christ. We have found that following Jesus Christ and
knowing His love intimately through personal relationship is the most rewarding life you could ever have. When you truly
know God you can experience freedom, healing, compassion and love like you have never experienced before. Knowing God and His son, Jesus Christ, is the key to encountering a life of ever-increasing light, peace, joy and
ultimate satisfaction. If you do not know Jesus as your personal savior, then the next few moments could change your
life forever. If you are interested in truly connecting with the God who created
you, please read on and consider deeply this wonderful message of the Gospel and see for yourself how abounding His love,
forgiveness and grace can be. Keep in mind that God loves you and He wants you
to have a lifelong relationship with Him that lasts for eternity. Life. Pursue
Him.
The Basics We must come to grips with the fact that we are sinners Even if we try to justify
ourselves with thoughts like, "I'm not nearly as bad as that person," or "I live a good, moral life,"
the Bible tells us in Romans 3:10, "As it is written: 'There is none righteous, no, not one.'" The scripture
goes on to say in Romans 3:23 "…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…" Everyone
has sinned in the eyes of God. All of us stand guilty before Him. There is a price to pay for sin Romans 6:23 tells us that "the wages of sin
is death…" In this case, eternal death is the price that we must pay for sin. What is sin? Sin is simply this…disobedience
to the will of God (I John 3:4), and since all have sinned, all are subject to the penalty of sin and an eternity in hell
separated from God. Jesus, the Son of
God, paid the price for our sin
God provided a remedy for our situation by allowing His Son to pay the penalty for us. John
3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not
perish but have everlasting life." What a promise! But God even elaborates in greater detail when the Bible tells us
in Romans 5:8 that, "…God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died
for us." Jesus did not wait for mankind to "get it together," but He gave up His life as a sacrifice while
we were separated from Him. The remedy for sin, which is salvation, does not come through good works, but it comes only
through Jesus. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it
is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Scripture also tells us in John 14:6 that, "Jesus said…'I
am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" Salvation
is God's solution, but our decision No one can choose eternal life for you. You must make the choice yourself.
In Mark chapter 1, verse 15, Jesus said, "…repent, and believe the gospel." Romans 10:9-10 says that if you
"…confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you
will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God."
These three steps are essential
to salvation: - REPENT: to repent means to turn around, to go in a new direction. What do we need to turn from?
We need to turn form our life-style of sin and separation from God. We need to turn from living our lives our own way and
from being our own god. What do we turn to? We turn to God who loves and cares for us. We turn to faith in Jesus Christ as
our Savior.
- BELIEVE: What is it that we
must believe? We are told in the Bible we must believe that not only did Jesus shed His blood and die for us, but that he
rose again from the dead and is alive today. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God have raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is mad unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
- CONFESS: With the mouth confession is made unto salvation. What is it that we say? We must say
what we believe—that Jesus is our Savior. We must say what the Bible says about us—that God is our Father and
we have become His children. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that
believe on his name (John 1:12).
Only we can make that decision. When we do, God receives us into His family. The Bible tells
us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that "…if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold,
all things have become new." Imagine that, the chance to start all over with a new life…eternal life! Prayer is the way we make the connection
Our link with God is established through prayer, and prayer is simply talking with God. It
is vital to keep the lines of communication open in any relationship if it is to succeed and flourish. Prayer is the way we
initiate our connection with God, and prayer is also the way we maintain our connection with God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that
"…if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
Imagine that, the chance to start all over with a new life…eternal life!
Making The Connection
The Father's invitation of eternal
life is to all, so we invite you to make that connection with Him now by accepting His Son into your heart. We encourage
you to pray this simple prayer. Father, in the Name
of Jesus, I thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I REPENT,
and I ask you to forgive me of all my sin. I BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is your Son, that He shed His blood so I might be forgiven,
that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead, and He is coming back again that I might receive His life… now
and forever. I confess Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life.
Jesus, thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. I will live for you as you show me
how. I invite You into my heart, and I ask you to change me on the inside. Help me, through the power of the Holy Spirit,
to live life in a way that would honor You. In Jesus' Name... Amen.

The Power Of Words e-Book "Words are,
of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind." When words are read not only
as groups of characters, but as thoughts or emotions, the real power of words can help, inspire, encourage,
and motivate us. I am sure you probably remember the little chant from the playground,
the neighborhood or the school of your childhood:
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words will never hurt me. That little saying is cute, but sadly it is also totally untrue!
In fact your words are some of the most powerful things in the entire world- not just your words about others, but your words
about yourself. Your words influence your life circumstances every single day.
King Solomon put it this way,"death and life are in the power of the tongue! ( Proverbs 18:21) I'm finding
so many people living below their godly privileges today... and it's often simply because their have not learned how to
speak life to their lives. In Fact this truth is so important that The Power Of Words e-Book has been revised and expanded,
and I want you to have a e-book. This simple but powerful e-Book will revolutionize the way you live. Your Prayers and Financial support make it possible for us to continue publishing BE THERE Magazine.

"May
God Bless you at Your point of need!"
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet
is fighting some kind of battle." Praise Your Way Through!
It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. My friend,
God is faithful. At your lowest points of life, He has always been there for you. When no one could be found,
you could always depend on the Lord. When the storms of life were raging, God was your anchor. When the enemy
attempted to destroy you, God was your protection. When your marriage, your ministry, your home, your children, or even
your job was in jeopardy, God granted an unexplainable peace. He is Faithful and Just. Just think back.
It was no one else but God! Today, I have been commissioned to come and encourage you in the Lord.
My friend, what are you facing today? What dilemma do you find yourself involved in? You have tried everything
and everyone and the results have not changed. The Lord desires to free you from the turmoil of this life. When
your surroundings seem threatening, and everything is [seemingly] against you … Praise Your Way Through!
Stop complaining. Stop griping. Do you not know who your Father is? Your Father responds to praise and worship,
not whining and griping. The Bible declares in 1 Chronicles 29:13 - Now
therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. Exalt the name of Jesus Christ. Let
your enemies know who your Father is. My brother, my sister, lift up your head. Walk with
upright shoulders. You have no reason to walk with a depressed demeanor. God is on your side. The Bible
declares in Psalms 37:25 - I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his
seed begging bread. Through every attack of the enemy, Praise Your Way Through!
When your finances get low, Praise Your Way Through! When tomorrow seems uncertain, Praise
Your Way Through! When your place of employment is hellish, Praise Your Way Through!
When your relationship is on the ropes. Praise Your Way Through! When your friends laugh
in your face, Praise Your Way Through! Point to Ponder: Have you
ever praised during testing times? —— Now would be a great time to start! Scripture Reading for Today: Psalms 100
